Rainbow center zendala

I was rather taken with a tile I did for a recent weekly challenge. It had black in the middle and a burst of rainbow colors at the edges. I wanted to try it again! This time I reversed the color scheme.
Tangles: Black Pearlz, Paradox, Pearlz, Phuds, stripes with highlights

  1. As usual, your work is stunning. I have played some with color, but not near enough. I guess I should start doing more of it, because this is wonderful.

  3. Beautiful, love this! Just the right amount of color. I can't wait for your book to come out, I've had it preordered for quite a while.

    1. Hi Jessica, thanks!
I must let you know that "my" book is actually a book initiated by Walter Foster Publishing. They approached four CZTs and we're all contributing to the book. Each of us has about 30 pages and is presenting three tangles and a couple of 'projects' (mine are mandalas). I'm eager to see the book too! Just wanted to let you know, it's not all me! :)

  4. Beautiful! Did you use watercolor pencils? It looks like it is spiraling off the page!

    1. Thanks Cris! Sometimes I use watercolor pencils, but not in this one. I used Sakura colored ink pens and a couple of other pens, and did the shading in Prismacolor Verithin pencils. (I think)
