I've been seeing a few Alhambra classes as well as tile photos lately, but, in my opinion, yours is absolutely the most artistically done. :)Jan Brandt, CZThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00548227525055571297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3384426562036266920.post-19064880864933098042020-04-17T13:16:54.013-07:002020-04-17T13:16:54.013-07:00Hi Cathy! This piece is unusual in that I overlaid the very regular Islamic tile pattern over the dyed paper. That way, of course, most of the dyed shapes become hidden, but they do - nonetheless - influence how I filled the spaces. Sometimes you just can't predict how it will all end!Margaret Bremner, Artisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04345825008203812415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3384426562036266920.post-35045808688615901102020-04-16T18:03:10.690-07:002020-04-16T18:03:10.690-07:00Wow. I found I had to visualize where the pattern should go and place the stencil accordingly. I think I'll try again on a large tile like you did. Your colors and motifs are so nicely integrated and absolutely beautiful.

- Jodi C, CZT 24Jodi Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00717411538076823373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3384426562036266920.post-35513206264452064632020-03-20T14:22:37.931-07:002020-03-20T14:22:37.931-07:00Thank you so much!Thank you so much!Margaret Bremner, Artisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04345825008203812415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3384426562036266920.post-18778895478966389262020-03-20T14:22:27.730-07:002020-03-20T14:22:27.730-07:00Thank you, Ria!Thank you, Ria!Margaret Bremner, Artisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04345825008203812415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3384426562036266920.post-24460668460146757082020-03-20T06:56:13.139-07:002020-03-20T06:56:13.139-07:00This is absolutely stunning This is absolutely stunning Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3384426562036266920.post-48323072531640669292020-03-20T05:07:21.200-07:002020-03-20T05:07:21.200-07:00I have visited the Alhambra in the south of Spain ...I have visited the Alhambra in the south of Spain and I understand very well why this fantastic stencil is called Alhambra.
