These are totally stunning Margaret! I can really get the feel of the wind in your second tile!
ReplyDeleteThank you. That Showgirl tangle really has a swirling feel to it.
DeleteLove both of these! I have to agree that the second tile is so alive with the feeling of the wind!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue. Showgirl is great for a swirly look.
Deletethese are both wonderful.
ReplyDeleteMargaret, trees are my most favorite plants and these are gorgeous! I love, love, love them! - Patty
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love trees too. I always seem to do the same kind of temperate climate tree, probably because that's what I know. :)
DeleteYour trees are cool. Love the movement in A Windy Day. How did you do the background "wash"? Technique? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi Tricia. A wash is simply pigment onto a wet surface (here: paper). It's a standard watercolor technique, but I use acrylic paint, watered down first so it's liquid. You can get a similar effect with water-soluable colored pencils, some markers, etc..
