I participated in a one-day exhibition and sale recently. I wanted to have some small, inexpensive items available for sale in addition to the usual larger, framed art. I have a selection of bookmarks and I decided to use some leftover bits of mat board and art paper to do small illuminated letters. I sold a few, so I'll make more to have on hand for other sales. My first 30 Days of Creativity activity: more letters!
Here are some of them. They're all done in black ink, despite my scanner's trickery.
Gorgeous! Only, how did you manage to use NONE of MY initials! *pout*
ReplyDeleteLove these! Of course I'm partial to the "J"!!!!

Oh, very nice! What is that leafy pattern on the upper left of the n? I'm in a flower / plant focus right now and that pattern is jumping out at me. :)
ReplyDeleteJust discovered you via 30 days of creativity. You do fabulous work! Love it all.
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with the "b"! Very inventive!
ReplyDeletethese are so cool! i'm so inspired!
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful pieces! Love how each letter has a surprise or two! Great eye candy!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I love how each one is different! Very creative.
ReplyDeleteThe leaves on the 'n' are a design called Hurly-Burly, designed by Helen Breil.
ReplyDeleteI discovered it roaming the internet in my pre-CZT days. She has other stamp designs that she says are "inspired by the Zentangles meditative, repetitive-pattern approach to drawing."
Going back to look, I realize her leaves are somewhat different, longer for one thing. You can see that stamp pattern here: http://helenbreil.com/index.php?pr=textures2
Oh, she does have some neat stuff. Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteI love these! Hope it's ok with you, I've used the 'b' in a mood board of black and white doodles and hand lettering here:

Motmot a problem Debbie, you've given credit for everything. I've always liked that Unilever logo too!
DeleteThat would be *not* a problem. Boo autocorrect!
