You may recall
the beginning of this project, more than a month ago, when I figured out the size and designed the letters.

It seems that going public about my procrastination was just the kick in the pants I needed to 'feel the fear and do it anyway'. After the
Procrastination post I got to work. I went to my desk, got out a pen and one of the letters, and made some marks. That's all it took. I was off!
Here they are with about half of the inking complete:
After I finish with the ink, I'll do the shading, and whatever else seems fitting.
Update soon. So's the wedding!
In case you're curious, here are
Chlo
ë (our eldest daughter) and
Robin. This is their engagement announcement, which Chlo
ë designed to be like a movie poster.
She just arrived from Halifax for a visit. And a wedding!
Looking fabulous! I love handlettering, calligraphy, etc. and love to see ways to incorporate Zentangles into it. Oh and the announcement - so clever!
ReplyDeleteLove your letters! Wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteThe letters are looking great! What kind of paper are you using. I assume that the pens are black and sepia. (?) Love the engagement announcement-very clever!
ReplyDeleteYour letters are looking really great! Congratulations to Chloe and Robin, the poster is a lovely romantic way to announce their engagement!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Margaret! Thanks for sharing these. I am inspired!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! I'll post the finished art soon. Sue, I'm using Stonehenge paper for this. I think the color is Buff. It's nice to work on, both pen and pencil.
