This week's challenge from the Diva (Laura Harms, CZT) is to create a tile with hearts using two previous challenges.
Laura has two little boys. The older is two years old. The younger was a preemie last fall and is now four months out in this world. He's had a lot of troubles and challenges in his short time here, the most recent being a bout of pneumonia. He's in hospital and Laura is staying with him. This week's challenge came with a request for healing energy and thoughts for her tiny trooper.
Here's my contribution.
I used a blind string and Ixorus with heart shapes. The string made an "O" in the middle.
O for Artoo :-)
It looked sort of empty so I added four more hearts for mum, dad, big brother, and baby. Get well soon little guy, and stay that way!
This is beautiful, Margaret! I looks like (in part at least) there's a two-pencil-string effect happening as well. Very flowing and beautiful. Gorgeous ♥♥ for Artoo and family. =)
ReplyDeleteHearts and loving thoughts are beautifully entwined in your eyecatching tile!
ReplyDeleteI love the way the light and dark work together in this one. They give a sense of both weight and airiness!
ReplyDeleteWhen I finished this, I thought I'd used a two-pencil string. But no. It comes from making the bands of Ixorus fairly wide. I like the effect of the hearts in Ixorus.
ReplyDeleteLove the effect of the heart infused Ixorus. This tile is sending lots of heart felt get well wishes.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! How creative of you to use hearts in Ixorus!
ReplyDeleteVery lovely and heartfelt tile and post!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous. I love your Ixorus tangleation.
ReplyDeleteThis is an overall great piece. I love every lighting change and each pattern!
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun, it makes me want to do more hearts.
ReplyDeleteThis is eye candy - so pleasing to look at. Sooo beautiful! I love the Ixorus hearts - I didn't know we could switch it up! The 4 hearts in the middle just make the piece. xoxoxox
ReplyDeletedivine :D
ReplyDeleteThis really beautiful - such elegant shading work.
ReplyDeleteCould you please tell me what a "blind string" is? I haven't heard of that before. Love your designs. The hearts in the middle really pop, especially wit the little highlights on them. Keep up the fabulous work!
ReplyDeleteHi Chaun,
ReplyDeleteA blind string is my term for drawing the string with my eyes closed. Earlier on this blog I called it a shut-eye string. It comes from the Diva's Weekly Challenge (number 2 or 3).
