I've been trying some of the string suggestions at tanglepatterns.com so this week's
challenge from the Diva fits right in! We are to use string number 1 - one I haven't tried yet - and tangle it to our heart's content.
|
Tangles: Fohbraid, Hollibaugh, Mi2, Tipple |
|
Tangles: Chebucto (that went haywire at one end), Drupe, Fracas, Knightsbridge (variation), Spinners |
I so admire how perfect your work is - not a shaky line in sight - both these tiles are stunning - beautiful array of tangles :)
ReplyDeleteI've always been one for intricate detail. Something I heard years ago about perfection has stuck with me: never strive for perfection. Only God can do that. BUT, we can - and should - strive for excellence. We can all do that. :)
DeleteVisiting your site is like taking a class. Your string is so well disguised in these two tiles...but it is there. These are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI like them both. Each is unique. I have not tried Mi2. It is one that caught my eye when I saw it but have not worked with it yet.
ReplyDeleteThese are so great. I'm not this advanced but I hope to be one day ;)
ReplyDeleteThey are both great! The balance between black and white is very good in both!
ReplyDeleteBoth beautiful Margaret!
ReplyDeleteWonderful and so dynamic! How can I say it in a way that you will know how much you inspire me with the beautiful tiles you create each and every time!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteVery nicely done..... again. Love the symbiosis between your tangles.
ReplyDeleteBoth are very beautiful. I can't decide wich one I like more. I love the Mi2 and the knit looking tangle in the first one, but the flowy tangle in the second one is a real eye catcher in the second one. Great :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. The 'knit-looking' tangle is Fohbraid, in case you'd like to try it. And the 'flowy' thing is a combination of Drupe and Fracas, both official tangles.
DeleteReally nice. Your Mi2 is elegant, I still struggle with that pattern.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is educational, so enjoyable.
Thanks Diane. With Mi2, have you tried changing the little black circles to the 'seed' shapes? Or maybe you're not leaving enough space between the little black circles? (a challenge I have with some tangles!)
DeleteBoth very beautiful. your fohbraid in the first tile is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Helen. I was experimenting with sending Fohbraid in opposite directions, one beside the other. It's quite interesting!
DeleteA great balance of black and white. Your tiles always inspire me to try things that are new to me. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteWow! I aspire to such wonderful connections in tangling! So wonderfully intricate and seamless.
ReplyDeletei think your chebucto looks great at that end - looks like you meant it to be that way! and i really like the braided part of the first tile - i don't recognize that - it's quite lovely to look at!
ReplyDeleteGreat Compositions.
