Bookmarks galore! (Part two)
Here is the first third of the 334 bookmarks I made as gifts for the zenAgain event. Even this may be overload! I took photos as they were completed, in groups of 32 because that's what fit on the surface I used for the photography.
The rest are coming later!

Gorgeous! I know they are snippets of larger pieces but they are individual works of art. I love them.
ReplyDeleteDear Margaret, you have inspired me once again. Your style and use of color is wonderful. I have learned a lot about my own style through seeing your work over the years. These bookmarks have some reenforced a couple lessons learned: anything is possible one stroke at a time, view each piece as a whole and as individual parts, my work is valuable to me and to those I share it with, zentangle can be used as an element of any pieçe of artwork, and every tile/page is worth saving for another day/another project. Absolutely gorgeous pieces! Thank you for sharing your work yet again. I enjoy opening each post.
ReplyDeleteThose are some really great lessons! Thank you for reminding me of all of them. :)
DeleteMargaret, your art always stuns me with awe!! Your creativity knows NO boundaries! I am quite sure that every single tangler who received one of your spectacular bookmarks is thrilled to have a piece of your original art. Thank you for your generosity in posting these photos. I will return often for inspiration!
ReplyDelete~ Yum ~ (I reserve that statement for my very favorite displays of gorgeousness.) :)
Gorgeous! Love everyone of them! Where do you source your bookmark blanks without punched holes? Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHi Leslie. All these bookmarks are strips of paper left over from other projects or unsuccessful artwork that I cut into bookmark sizes.
DeleteThese are beautiful!! What a wonderful source of inspiration! Looking forward to seeing the rest!
ReplyDeleteYummy!!!! Thanks Margaret! Love, love, love each one of these - Love your blog and you too!!! Thanks for being a great teacher, artist and inspiration! Patty Meijer
ReplyDeleteWow!! (Big Sigh!) You must have oodles of energy! How I would have loved to be a fly on your studio wall to watch your creative process! Thank you for sharing! Every single one is fantastic! I am "bookmarking" this page for inspiration! You Rock!
ReplyDeleteI love my bookmark!
ReplyDeleteThank you Margaret for sharing the book marks. I received one at ZenAgain & look at it over & over again when I pick up my book to read.
ReplyDelete"I spy with my little eyes" my very own Margaret Bremner bookmark. Thank you for your very thoughtful gift.
ReplyDeleteI expected some of the people who receive one might try to find there is in the mass of other ones! Glad you managed. :-)
DeleteI enjoy just about anything you do! These bookmarks are so cool to look at as a whole series, and as a whole piece of art, and each single one at a time. Margaret, you are so prolific too! I know they weren't done separately, but they each stand on their own just fine. I love that you share so much of your art and yourself with us. I know that I gain so much from it. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you Karen! Some came about by cutting up other work, but many are single entities; I'd say maybe half and half.
