Today for Art Every Day Month I'm sharing a new tangle and two tiles where I've used it.
Magma is molten rock, a mixture of liquids, gases and solids. Lava is probably the best known example. I chose it as the name for this simple tangle pattern because I think it looks like thick, flowing stuff. (Yes, it also looks like wavy water.) This pattern results in
an all-over gray effect and can be shaded where the undulating lines
overlap, or at the edge of the tangled section, or wherever you want. Here are the drawing instructions for Magma.
