Socc is this week's challenge from the Diva, Laura. On
her blog she wrote, "I was really excited to see that this month's tangle was Socc, created
by Erin Olson, CZT. I llllllove this tangle, and i had used it quite a
bit for a while, then as you do, i forgot about it... so when it came up
in the random number generator i was like: Oh! YEAH!!! Sweet." I know exactly how she feels. Socc fits perfectly with my intention to use new or less familiar tangles during
Art Every Day Month. Thus far, there are 254 people participating!

Tangles: Black Pearlz, Crescent Moon, Firecracker, Socc, Tipple and stripes. |
I tried doing some diagonal dividing lines in Socc, but found that I prefer it with just horizontal and vertical lines. The next tile uses the
looped border string I wrote about recently.

Tangles: Bales, Black Pearlz, Crescent Moon, Socc, stripes and spirals. |
Gareat looking. I like the shape of the second tile the best, more interesting.
ReplyDeleteThanks Diane. That's the looped border string I wrote about recently. It's fun, and gives some interesting shapes to work with.
DeleteMargaret your tiles are as always just perfect!
ReplyDeleteWonderful tiles, I love the little creative embellishments you add. It really gives your work and extra flair!
ReplyDeleteIn the second tile there are 2 big eyes watching me ...
ReplyDeleteGreat tiles!
Great tiles, Margaret! Love seeing your "art every day month"!
ReplyDeleteThese are both beautiful. Your tiles are striking as always, and I love the looped border string - I'll have to try it.
ReplyDeleteBoth tiles are lovely. I really like the irregular shape of your Sparkle, and that's something I will be trying today in a tile. I'm going to pop over and look at the site you linked.
ReplyDeleteGreat tiles! Those loops in the string are very interesting.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful additions to your AEDM! Love your highlighting/shading on these :)
ReplyDeleteBoth are great!!!
ReplyDeleteOH! I love, love, love the second one! You are the queen of sheen on black pearls!
ReplyDeleteMargaret you have very stylish soccs!
ReplyDelete(tee hee!)
DeleteBeautiful both of them. Your socc looks great.
