All Boxed Up

That's the name of Alice Hendon's tangle that the Diva wants us to use in this week's zentangle challenge. I hadn't seen this tangle before (yay challenges!) and it was fun to try it.
Tangles: All Boxed Up, Aquafleur, Beadlines, Palrevo, Printemps, Spinning
My next string had a passage that flowed through the middle, with a break in it. I did a more regular All Boxed Up and didn't shade it except where it curves.
Tangles: All Boxed Up, Crescent Moon, Not-a-knot, Paradox
Then I started really having fun with it! I had done something I didn't like on the right, so I blacked it all in and then drew in white. No mistakes, right?
Tangles: All Boxed Up, Beadlines, Pearlz

  1. It's amazing how different each of your presentations of All Boxed Up is. I love the movement in the second one and the almost "pop art" quality of the third.

  2. All three are gorgeous! Especially I like your variation of "All Boxed Up" in the third one!

  3. They are all so beautiful. I absolutely love the black and white in the last tile.

  4. Your wonky All Boxed Up is a real winner. You've taken something that starts out very rigid and made it flow-y. (is that a word??)

    1. I use flow-y all the time. If it isn't a word, it should be. ;)

  5. Three brilliant Tiles, using All Boxed Up in dramatically different and creative ways. The depth you created in the second tile with very minimal shading is outstanding. The way you separated the sections of All boxed up in the last tile is stunning. Love your work, Margaret.

  8. The 3rd is my favorite and I really really liked how you tipped the tangle slightly and filled in "the cracks" as that just made my day!

  9. I always love looking at your work. All three tiles are so different. My fav is the third tile.

  14. It is really fun to see your progression from tile to tile with each being lovely in its own way. I wish I had the vision and patience to go beyond the basic challenge. This one had me feeling especially "challenged" for some reason.

    1. Suzanne, I often find that I do one tile and it gives me ideas for other things to do with the tangle and at some point I just have to stop!

  15. I think all of your work is amazing and I love to see how you change with each tile. I love what you have done with All Boxed Up. The second one really moves well, but I am partial to the third one I think. Not for any reason I can think of, just that it speaks to me and I love it!
