AEDM 23 - a mandala

Zendala Dare number 29. In fact, this is it, twice. It's an irregular design, so I copied the template, then turned it 90 degrees and copied it again to make it the same all around. I've been feeling a need for color, and this design reminded me of Tibetan mandalas so I chose some of those colors. I had fun using a lot of different pens: glitter, metallic, glaze as well as the usual 01s in color. I also added a few tiny 'gems' to give it even more sparkle.
Tangles: Black Pearlz, Bunzo, Flux, Knightsbridge, Tortuca, Tripoli
and something I haven't named yet; must do that soon!

  1. The amount of time to do this must have been considerable.
I am just curious, Margaret, what do you do with your little masterpieces when you are done?

    1. Some of them, I frame. Some I (frame and) sell. Right now I'm working on a good way to fix the paper to a stretched canvas. This year I'm giving away 15 tiles on holiday greeting cards. I'm thinking of photocopying some and making cards to sell at shows.

  2. Margaret, I love everything about this mandala! The tangles, the design, the color....a true masterpiece! I gazed at this one a long time. Sue
P.S. I had a student recently in one of my classes say "I want to be Margaret Bremner when I grow up", and I told her to stand in line.

    1. Thanks so much Sue! And thanks for sharing that comment. I'll add it to my 'strokes' along with someone who called me a rock star. :)
I think, with Zentangle, I've found where I belong.
