Recently I commented that many of the
circular tangles would make lovely centers in Zentangle-inspired mandalas. I decided to take my own suggestion. I got out my
apple corer again to use as a small,
simple mandala template. There are many circular tangles and I thought, best to start small. Here are the first ones.
|
At the center: Crossview Other tangles: Black Pearlz, Caviar, Prestwood, Tortuca plus rounding and stripes |
|
At the center: Circfleur Other tangles: Black Pearlz, Caviar, Circfleur again, Flux, Pearlz |
|
At the center: Striped Snail Other tangles: Black Pearlz, Caviar, Phuds (Done on a parchment-y paper.) |
Your ZIMs are very beautiful and inspiring. I suspect that I will pull out my apple corer very soon.
ReplyDeleteGot to love that apple corer for a small template! I got mine out recently too to make some small mandala's for a art show this summer. Your's always inspire me...beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow! These are.beautiful.
ReplyDeletevery very beautiful. I particularly like circfleur, and the crossview in the centre of your first one. All have their own strong personalities: fun, spiritual, elegant...
ReplyDeleteHi, It's me again crying about not being able to see all of your blog. How strange that some people get it and others don't. Can't think Maria and I are the only ones not -- wonder what we have in common?
ReplyDeleteFor all of us dying of curiosity (me!), would it be possible to repost the Fibonacci entry and video??? If you can't find/correct the problem, that is... or tell me a round about way for me to get into past posts. Computers are wonderful, until you can't do what you want to do! Ha!

ReplyDeleteHi Margaret,
ReplyDeleteJust letting you know that I can only get about 4 posts on your blog. And I am way over the pond in Australia. I do hope you will be able to fix it as I love visiting your blog and learning from your art.

ReplyDeletePlus, I am entranced by Mandalas of any sort. Yours intrigue me and draw me in.
