Auraknot & Celtic-style Auraknot

I did this Zendala tile using the new tangle Auraknot in the centre.
Tangles: Auraknot, Black Pearlz, Jonqal, Paradox, Sanibelle,
and a hybrid of Fleuri/Florez/N'zeppel
Then, since I've been somewhat into Celtic knot work lately, I used the same template of pre-strung tile and some of the method of Auraknot, but tried to make it more Celtic-knot-work-y. I quite like the result!
Tangles: Auraknot, Black Pearlz, Not-a-knot, Perfs
and elements of Copada/Msst/Tortuca

  2. I've been interested in knotwork for some time & spent a while over the weekend trying to find information on drawing a Triquetra - suddenly remembering your tangles I wondered if you could suggest a particular method/tutorial as there seems to be a very confusing array of ways varying between compasses/protractors & freehand. I was particularly struck by your Triquetra with the extra knots. The Mandala aove is a very fine example of knotwork with tangling & really gives me something to aspire to.
Thank you for being such an encouragement & giving such visual delights.

    1. Hi Paula, I've been searching YouTube trying to find what I watched. No luck.
      I found this one though:

and it's very good. You really only need to watch the first half to see how the design is done.
I worked from three corner dots, adding three large arcs connecting the dots. That's all in pencil. Then I went to the pen and drew outside the pencil lines. Maybe I'll do a blog post about how-to.

    2. Thank you so much for taking the time & trouble to find that for me, especially in the midst of all you have to do - your description of three corner dots makes sense too.
