L'aura's

The DivaCZT's challenge this week is Auras, those additional lines that go around the edge of a pattern. I started a couple, and got some very interesting tiles, but they didn't want Auras much. Then I thought it might go better if I just used tangles that have auras already as part of the pattern. I searched my binder of tangles and found more than I expected.
Tangles: Dansk, Magma, Mi2, Miranda, Sez, Tidings, Triangle
Tangles: Afterglo, Crescent Moon, Featherfall

  1. Oh wow! Both are beautiful. Your use of black really sets them off.

  2. In the first one I feel like I am flying up in the air and the clouds are parting for a glimpse of the terrain below. In the second I am out in my garden enjoying the fruits of my labors! I love the depth and breath of these two tiles!

  3. These are both beautiful. I especially like combinations of patterns. I love the way in the second tangle the parts that "sink" below the others. Amazing what shading can do. I rarely use it, but yours is so well done.

  15. Just wondering, Margaret, in the first tile, you have a tangle called "triangle". Do you have a link to the step-outs for it?

    1. Wow. I have a small card with the tangle on it, and the note that is was designed by Linda Cobb, CZT. But I don't have printed step-outs, and come up with nothing at all when I search the internet! Sorry.
